The Studica Robotics Building System is a unique and versatile robotics construction platform that offers everything you need to build or modify a robot quickly. You have the option of selecting what robot parts you need or purchasing a robotics kit. This building system is based on aluminum channels, bearings, gears, and precision shafts.

With our multipurpose hole pattern, components can be easily connected, with no machine shop or special equipment. This hole pattern also allows for compatibility with many existing build systems offering the ability to combine structure and electronics. Robot Parts Available

At Studica, you will find a variety of structure components, motion components, and electronics.

• Structure Components - There are U-channel and low-profile U-channel components.  You'll find flat brackets, irregular brackets, mounting brackets, and plates. Hinges, axles, shafts, spacers, standoffs, and more.
• Motion Components - Choose from motors, servo motors, wheels, slide rails, pulleys, belts, bushings, bearings, chains, sprockets, shock absorbers collars, couplings, gearings solutions, and more.
• Electronics - Robotic sensors, controllers, cables, wiring, power switches, batteries, FPV (first-person view), and remote devices are available.
• Hardware - There are tools, nuts, screws, bumpers, and feet available.

Key Highlights

• VMX Robotics Controller can be programmed with Java and C++. With its open platform and no current support from Studica, the VMX Robotics Controller can be programmed in Python, ROS & LabVIEW. It is the heart of an intelligent robot and includes software libraries, example code and many more features.The VMX offers a multitude of modern digital communications interfaces and with a Linux-based operating system, users can directly access most modern devices like Intel RealSense tracking, LIDAR, and depth cameras.
• Titan Quad Motor Controller is a powerful, 4-channel CAN-based motor controller with a built-in fuse-box (for DC motors up to 20A). Features 4 hardware encoder ports, 2 power extension ports to power other 12VDC devices, a built in LED controller, and more.

The FTC Drive Base Kit v2 is an upgrade from our first version (see below). With our new slim mecanum wheels with bearings on all rollers, you can make a wider base robot. It includes 4 NeveRest Orbital 20 Gearmotors with encoder cables, the new Clamping Shaft Hubs, 4 bumpers and complete hardware to complete the mecanum chassis. The 100mm Slim Mecanum Wheel Set comes with 2 left and 2 right, with steel ball bearings, blue steel frame and black rollers. The wheel is comprised of 12 black rollers and is able to move in any direction. Rollers are set at 45° to the axis of rotation of the wheel. 

 

Rollers are mounted with steel ball bearings, making the roll more fluent. The slim design allows you to create wider base robots!
